Autopilot posting with guardrails

Updated 21 Oct 2026 · Written and checked by the AI Marketing Master team, Shivah Web Tech

Short answer

Autopilot in AI Marketing Master lets eligible social posts go out without you tapping approve each time. You switch it on yourself and give consent. After that, only posts that passed every quality check and use only your approved facts are approved by the rule and scheduled. Anything not eligible waits for a person, every step is logged, and you can switch autopilot off at any time.

Who should consider autopilot

Autopilot is for businesses that have used the app for a while, trust their Business Profile facts, and find that they approve almost every post unchanged. If you are still editing most drafts, keep approving by hand or use bulk approval instead. Autopilot saves time only when the drafts are already right.

How it works

  • You choose which kinds of content and which destinations may use autopilot. Other content keeps needing approval.
  • You switch autopilot on and confirm a consent statement. The consent is recorded.
  • AI drafts posts from your approved facts, as usual.
  • Each post runs through the quality checks. Only posts that pass are eligible.
  • An eligible post is approved by the rule, and the record shows it was approved by autopilot, not a person.
  • It is scheduled with the same pre-publishing checks as any other post, then read back from the platform before it shows as verified.
  • If something blocks it, such as an account that needs reconnecting, it waits and the reason is logged.

Guardrails that stay on whatever you choose

  • A failed quality check always stops a post. Autopilot cannot skip it.
  • AI can only use claims you have approved, so autopilot cannot invent prices, discounts or promises.
  • Some content can be marked as always needing a person; autopilot cannot be set for it.
  • Ad spending is never handled by this setting. Ads have their own separate budget cap and authorisation.
  • Every automatic approval and every skipped post is written to the audit log.
  • The monthly AI spending cap still applies, so autopilot cannot run up AI costs beyond it.

Autopilot, bulk approval and one-by-one approval compared

  • One by one: a person reads and approves every post. Right for new accounts, sensitive industries and any post with an offer.
  • Bulk approval: a person reviews a batch of checked posts and approves them together. Right for most businesses planning a month at a time.
  • Autopilot: a rule approves checked posts. Right only for routine content from a business whose facts and voice are well set up.

When to keep autopilot off

Keep it off for clinics, legal or financial services, schools and anything where a careless word can cause real harm. Keep it off during a crisis, a price change, or a period when your opening hours are uncertain. And keep it off for client accounts in an agency unless the client has clearly agreed, since the client is the one whose name is on the post.

Checking that autopilot is behaving

Look through the posts autopilot approved once a week. If you would have changed several of them, switch it off and go back to bulk approval while you improve your Business Profile, voice notes and banned phrases. Autopilot should feel boring: routine posts going out correctly, with nothing surprising.

What it does not do

  • Autopilot only covers content that passed every quality check; everything else still needs a person.
  • Quality checks catch rule breaks such as unapproved claims; they cannot judge taste or timing in every situation.
  • It does not cover TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat or Threads, which are not supported.

Questions people ask

Does autopilot mean nobody approves anything?

You approve the rule when you switch it on and give consent. After that, posts that pass every check are approved by that rule. Anything that does not qualify still waits for a person.

Can I turn autopilot off quickly?

Yes. Switch it off in the automation settings and new posts go back to needing a person's approval.

Does autopilot also launch ads?

No. Ads are handled separately. New campaigns are made as paused drafts, and launching needs a person's authorisation with a budget cap.

Will autopilot post on platforms I have not connected?

No. It only schedules posts for connected accounts that are working. If a connection needs attention, the post waits.
