Social media reports your clients will actually read

Updated 21 Oct 2026 · Written and checked by the AI Marketing Master team, Shivah Web Tech

Short answer

AI Marketing Master builds a monthly report for each client as a PDF, a share link and a one-page summary. It lists what was published and verified, the numbers each platform provides, new leads and their sources, and plain-English notes on what changed and what to do next. Agencies can add their own name, colour and logo with white label.

Why most client reports go unread

Many social media reports are long exports of charts with no explanation. A busy client flicks through, sees a lot of numbers, and still cannot answer the question they care about: is this working, and what happens next?

Reports also take agency staff hours to assemble each month, copying numbers from several platforms into slides. That time is better spent on the work itself.

What goes into each report

  • Posts that went out this month, by platform, with their status. Posts read back from the platform show as verified; others are clearly marked.
  • Numbers the platforms provide: YouTube views, likes and comments, and Facebook and Instagram post numbers where available.
  • Website visits from Google Analytics once it is connected.
  • New leads and where they came from, from the CRM.
  • What changed compared with last month, in plain words.
  • Suggested next steps for the coming month.

Three ways to share it

  • PDF: for clients who like a document to keep or forward to a partner.
  • Share link: a page the client can open on a phone without logging in.
  • One-page summary: the short version for owners who only want the headline.

How it works for an agency

  • Add each client to your agency account and connect their social accounts.
  • Assign staff to the clients they look after. Staff only see their own clients.
  • At the end of the month, open the client's report and read the plain-English notes yourself first.
  • If something needs context, such as a festival campaign or a shop closure, mention it in your covering email or call.
  • Send the PDF or share link. With white label, the PDF carries your agency's name, colour and logo.

Honest reporting builds trust

Clients notice when every report is good news. The report shows what really happened, including posts that failed or were not verified, and months where numbers dropped. Explaining a dip calmly, with a clear plan, does more for a long client relationship than hiding it. The app never adds made-up benchmarks or industry averages to make a month look better.

Reading the report with a client

A report is most useful as the start of a short conversation, not a document that disappears into an inbox. Send it with two or three lines of your own: the main win, the main concern and the one thing you need from the client, such as fresh photos or approval of next month's festival posts.

If the client prefers a call, open the one-page summary on screen and walk through it in five minutes. Keep the full PDF for anyone who wants the detail.

Who it suits

Agencies and freelancers who manage social media for several businesses and want a consistent monthly report without building slides. Business owners can use the same report to keep a partner, family member or investor informed.

What it does not do

  • Reports only include numbers the platforms provide. LinkedIn statistics are not available.
  • PDF reports are in English only for now.
  • The report explains changes; it cannot prove which post caused a particular sale.

Questions people ask

Can I put my agency logo on the reports?

Yes, with white label. Reports and the app can show your agency's name, colour and logo, and you can use your own verified domain.

Does the report include LinkedIn statistics?

No. LinkedIn posts appear in the list of published work, but LinkedIn statistics are not available.

Can reports be in Hindi or Punjabi?

Not yet. The app itself works in English, Hindi and Punjabi, but PDF reports are produced in English because the PDF maker cannot draw Hindi or Punjabi letters correctly.

Can a client see the report without an account?

Yes. A share link opens the report without logging in. Treat it like any private link and only send it to the right people.
