Getting Google Ads lead form leads into your CRM

Updated 21 Oct 2026 · Written and checked by the AI Marketing Master team, Shivah Web Tech

Short answer

Google Ads lead forms collect contact details right inside the ad. To get those leads out of Google Ads quickly, you add a webhook address and key to the form. AI Marketing Master gives you both. Each submission then lands in your CRM with the campaign, ad group and form ids, and your team is alerted straight away.

Why the webhook matters

Without a webhook, Google Ads lead form submissions are downloaded by hand from the Google Ads interface, and Google only keeps them there for a limited time. That makes follow-up slow and easy to forget. A webhook pushes each lead out the moment it is submitted.

Setup, step by step

  • In the CRM, open lead sources and add a Google Ads lead form source. Give it a name you will recognise, such as Search campaign, AC repair.
  • Copy the webhook address and the key the app shows you.
  • In Google Ads, open the lead form, find the webhook integration section, and paste the address and key.
  • Press Google's Send test data button. A test lead appears in your CRM, marked as a test.
  • Turn on the campaign. Real leads now arrive by themselves.

What each lead contains

Full name, email and phone go into the lead's main fields. Any other questions on your form, such as city or preferred time, are saved as extra answers. The lead also keeps the Google click id, campaign id, ad group id and form id, which helps you see later which campaign the lead came from.

Google lead forms do not carry a marketing consent tick, so these leads are saved without marketing consent. That does not stop you calling someone who asked to be contacted about your service.

Safety checks on incoming data

  • Every delivery must include the secret key; anything without it is refused.
  • A switched-off source refuses deliveries.
  • If Google sends the same lead twice, it is stored once.
  • Test submissions do not alert your team, do not count in reports and are not copied to HubSpot.

Making lead form campaigns pay off

Lead forms make it very easy to enquire, so some leads are less serious than a phone call. Add one question that shows intent, call quickly, and track outcomes. When you move leads to Won or Lost in the CRM, your monthly report can show how many leads became customers, not just how many forms were filled.

If you connect your Google Ads account, AI Marketing Master can also read and create a lead-form conversion action so Google counts these leads as conversions.

Example: a home services company in Pune

Picture a pest control business running a search campaign for termite treatment. Its lead form asks for name, phone, area and whether the job is for a flat or a bungalow. With the webhook in place, a rule gives every lead tagged with a western suburb to the technician who covers that side of the city and adds a call-back task due the same day. The area and property type sit on the lead as extra answers, so the technician knows what to quote before dialling. At month end, the owner compares how many lead form enquiries were won against enquiries from the website form.

What it does not do

  • Only new submissions after the webhook is added arrive automatically.
  • Leads from Google lead forms are stored without marketing consent.
  • Performance Max campaign drafts are not available.

Questions people ask

Do I need to connect my Google Ads account for the webhook?

No. The webhook works on its own. Connecting the account is only needed for ad reports, paused campaign drafts and conversion actions, and that needs Google's developer-token approval for the platform.

Can I use one source for several lead forms?

Yes, but separate sources make it easier to compare forms and campaigns.

Will I get leads that came in before I set it up?

No. The webhook only sends new submissions. Download older ones from Google Ads and import them as a spreadsheet.

Does the app reply to Google lead form leads?

No. Your team contacts them. The CRM records, assigns and reminds.
