Short answer
AI Marketing Master connects to WordPress with an Application Password, not your normal login. After you connect, it can publish blog posts and pages that a person has approved, then read them back to check they are live. It can also apply approved SEO fixes for page titles, meta descriptions and missing image alt text, and each fix can be undone.
What the WordPress connection is used for
- Publishing approved blog posts, with AI featured images if you made one.
- Publishing approved website pages written with AI help.
- Applying approved SEO fixes: page titles, meta descriptions and missing image alt text.
- Undoing a fix later, as long as nobody else has edited that page since.
- Reading each post back from your site so the status can move from Published to Verified.
Before you connect: a short checklist
- Your website opens on an https:// address. Plain http addresses are refused.
- You can log in to WordPress with an account that has the Author, Editor or Administrator role.
- The WordPress REST API is reachable. It is on by default, but some security plugins switch it off or block it.
- Your WordPress version shows Application Passwords on the user profile screen.
Setup in five steps
- In AI Marketing Master, open the Connections screen and choose Connect WordPress.
- In another tab, log in to WordPress as the account that should publish, and open Users, then Profile.
- Find Application Passwords, type a name such as AI Marketing Master, and click Add.
- Copy the password WordPress shows once. Paste it into the Connections screen with your website address and that account's username.
- Click Connect and test. The app checks the login straight away and shows Healthy if it can publish.
What access it gets, and what it never touches
An Application Password acts as that one WordPress user. With an Author or Editor account, the app can create and update posts and upload images. It cannot see your hosting panel, domain, DNS records or server files, and it never asks for them.
If the account cannot upload images, posts that need a featured image wait for you instead of going out half finished. If the account cannot publish at all, the status shows Missing permission and tells you which role to use.
How approved SEO fixes and undo work
When the website audit finds a page with no meta description, a weak title or images without alt text, Milo or the SEO agent can prepare a fix. You see a preview of the old and new text. Nothing changes on your site until a person approves it.
After the fix is applied, an Undo button stays available. Undo is refused if someone edited that page in WordPress after the fix, so the app never overwrites newer work by accident.
Keeping an eye on the connection
The Connections screen shows the website, the WordPress account, when the login was last checked and when the last post was published and verified. Status words are plain: Healthy, Expiring soon, Having problems, Login removed or Missing permission. If your site does not answer, publishing waits and the app tries again later. You can press Check now at any time.
Your data and how to disconnect
The Application Password is stored encrypted and is not shown again after you save it. The app sends post content, images and approved fixes to your site, and reads back the published posts to verify them. To stop, press Disconnect: the saved login is deleted and scheduled posts wait until you connect again. You can also remove the Application Password inside WordPress, which ends access at once.
What it does not do
- Automatic fixes cover only titles, meta descriptions and image alt text.
- Undo is not possible after someone else edits the same page.
- A security plugin that blocks the REST API will stop the connection until it allows access.
Questions people ask
Do I have to give my WordPress admin password?
No. You create a separate Application Password for this app. Your normal password is never entered, and you can remove the Application Password in WordPress whenever you like.
Can I write posts before WordPress is connected?
Yes. Blog posts can be written, checked and approved first. They wait on the Connections screen until the website is connected.
Will it install a plugin on my site?
No plugin is needed. The connection uses the REST API that is built into WordPress.
Which SEO fixes can it apply automatically after approval?
Page titles, meta descriptions and missing image alt text. Other problems from the audit are explained in plain English so you or your developer can fix them.
