Google Analytics 4 integration

Updated 21 Oct 2026 · Written and checked by the AI Marketing Master team, Shivah Web Tech

Short answer

The Google Analytics integration reads visit numbers from your Google Analytics 4 (GA4) property and adds them to AI Marketing Master reports. Access is read only. It helps you see whether posts, blogs and SEO work are bringing people to your website, next to leads and search numbers, without opening Google Analytics every month.

What problem it solves

Most owners have Google Analytics installed but rarely open it, because the screens are busy and the terms are hard. Meanwhile the marketing report talks about posts and leads without showing whether people actually visited the site.

Linking GA4 puts visits in the same monthly report as your content, leads and search numbers, written in plain English, so the question "did anything we did this month bring visitors?" has a real answer.

What it reads and where it shows

  • Website visit numbers from the GA4 property you choose.
  • Shown in the monthly report and the agency report, including the PDF and share link.
  • Placed alongside Search Console numbers and CRM lead counts, so you can compare them.
  • Clearly marked as not connected when no property is linked, never filled with sample data.

Questions a monthly report can now answer

  • Did the blog posts we published this month bring any visitors to the site?
  • Were visits higher or lower than last month, and in which week did that change?
  • Did more visits come with more enquiries in the CRM, or only more browsing?
  • Is the website getting attention during a festival season when posts were busiest?

Before you start

Your website must already send data to a GA4 property. This integration does not add the Google Analytics tag to your website and does not change your tracking. If GA4 is not installed yet, set it up in Google Analytics first, or ask your web developer. The Google account you connect needs at least view access to the property.

Linking your GA4 property

  • Go to the Connections screen and open the Google Search Console and Analytics card.
  • Press Connect Google and sign in with an account that can view your GA4 property.
  • Allow read-only access to Analytics.
  • Choose the Google Analytics 4 property from the list and save.
  • Use Check now to make sure Google answers. Visits appear in the next report.

Data handling

Only report numbers are read; the app cannot edit your Analytics settings, add users or change goals. The Google access token is stored encrypted on the server. Pressing Disconnect deletes it, and you can also withdraw access from your Google account at any time. Report data for each business is kept separate from every other business on the platform.

Reading the numbers sensibly

Visits go up and down for many reasons: seasons, festivals, a post that people shared, or a tracking problem on the site. Look at trends over a few months rather than one week. If visits rise but enquiries do not, the website or landing page may need work. If enquiries rise without more visits, your pages are converting better. The report points out changes; deciding what they mean is still your call.

What it does not do

  • Reads visits for reports only; it is not a full analytics tool.
  • Does not install or fix tracking on your website.
  • GA4 only; older Analytics versions are not supported.

Questions people ask

Does it work with the old Universal Analytics?

No. It reads Google Analytics 4 properties only.

Will it install Google Analytics on my site?

No. Your site must already have GA4 collecting data. The app only reads the numbers.

Is this a full replacement for the Google Analytics screens?

No. It brings the visit numbers that matter for your marketing report into one place. For deep analysis, use Google Analytics itself.

Can my agency see my Analytics numbers?

Only staff assigned to your business in the agency account can see your reports.

Who in my team can connect Google Analytics?

The person connecting needs access to the Connections screen in AI Marketing Master and a Google account that can view the GA4 property. The Google account does not need edit rights.
