Google Search Console integration

Short answer

Connecting Google Search Console lets AI Marketing Master show your real Google search numbers: clicks, impressions, click-through rate and average position. Access is read only, so nothing in your Google account is changed. The numbers appear in your SEO screens and monthly reports next to audit findings, with plain-English notes on what changed.

Why audit findings need real search numbers

An audit tells you what is wrong with a page. It cannot tell you whether anyone sees that page on Google. Search Console can. Putting the two together helps you decide what to fix first: a page with many impressions but few clicks may need a clearer title, while a page with no impressions may need better content or links.

Without a connection, reports say "not connected" for search numbers. They never fill the gap with guesses.

The four numbers you will see

  • Clicks: how many times people clicked through to your site from Google Search.
  • Impressions: how many times your pages appeared in results.
  • Click-through rate (CTR): clicks divided by impressions.
  • Average position: the average place your pages appeared, which moves around and is not a fixed ranking.

What you need first

Your website must already be added and verified in Google Search Console, and the Google account you connect must have access to that property. If you have never set up Search Console, do that in Google first; the verification step happens there, not in our app.

Using the numbers to choose your next fix

Start with pages that already appear often in results but get few clicks. A clearer page title and meta description can help there, and Milo can draft both for your approval. Next, look at pages your audit flagged with errors that also have impressions, because fixing them helps pages people already find. Pages with almost no impressions usually need better content or internal links, not just a new title.

How to connect

  • Open the Connections screen and find the Google Search Console and Analytics card.
  • Press Connect Google and sign in with the account that can see your Search Console property.
  • Allow read-only access to Search Console when Google asks.
  • Back in the app, choose the Search Console site to report on and save.
  • Press Check now to confirm the connection answers. Numbers then appear in SEO screens and the next monthly report.

Read only, encrypted and easy to remove

The app only reads search performance numbers. It cannot submit sitemaps, remove URLs, add users or change settings in Search Console. The Google access is saved in encrypted form. Press Disconnect to delete it; reports then show search data as not connected. You can also remove the app from your Google account's security settings.

Common setup problems and fixes

  • "This Google account cannot read Search Console": sign in with the account that owns the property, or ask the owner to add you.
  • "Google asked us to slow down": wait a few minutes and try again.
  • "Google is not set up on this platform yet": the platform's Google connection is still being configured; reports will say not connected until it is.
  • Wrong site chosen: change the Search Console site on the same card and save.

What it does not do

  • Shows only your own site's Search Console numbers; no rank tracking, backlinks or search volume.
  • Google's search numbers usually arrive a few days late.
  • Your site must already be verified in Search Console.

Questions people ask

Does this show how many people search for a keyword?

No. Search Console shows how your own pages perform. Search volume and keyword difficulty need a licensed data provider that is not connected.

Is average position the same as my ranking?

Not exactly. It is an average across many searches, places and devices. Use it to spot trends, not as one fixed rank.

Can it change anything in Search Console?

No. Access is read only.

Do I connect Google Analytics separately?

The same Google connection can also read a Google Analytics 4 property. You choose each one on the same card.
